ACTA Leak Confirms Internet Conspiracy in the U.S.

New information about the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, or ACTA, has leaked confirming theories that the U.S. is indeed pushing to radically alter our access, usage, and privacy on the internet. One major concern is that internet service providers or ISPs would be liable for any copyrighted material that’s transmitted or stored on their networks. As a result ISPs will need to implement invasive monitoring procedures which would require massive investments in hardware, software, technical and legal staff as well as a host of other issues that make it at its best an unrealistic and incredibly problematic requirement. and at its worst a huge threat to our internet freedom.
