This is the story of how biology and technology will combine to create a new kind of human. For some the coming of this event offers untold possibilities. For others this future is something to be afraid of.

These artilects, artificial intellect, almost godlike-massively intelligent machines…what impact will they have, their very presence, how will they feel about us as an inferior species… So I see this centuries global politics being dominated by the question should humanity built artilects or not.

    Today, a child is forced to learn painting even he/she does not like that.
    Tommorrow, a child’s brain become artificial, other people can choose what they want to “inject” to his/her brain, even he/she does not like.

    Can’t wait for the singularity… we’re going to build the God that we’ve always wanted, but was never there. Something that understands us better than ourselves, something that’s going to figure everything out. I can’t imagine what will happen, but it can’t be bad. Human will is good. We’ll save the animals too. The lion will lay with the lamb. Our care for life will spread as far as physics will allow… But that shouldn’t concern us too much for now. Life can be good, just do your best. I’m just miserable because I’m biologically screwed up, so this is where my mind goes.

    I guess the thing that concerns us is that life will become obsolete. But what could there be outside of life? I think there must be an answer, even if life will become very different than anything before.

    My best experience of life was as a child. I had pains, I had frustrations; but I had great anticipation, I had pride, and I loved life. I liked my work, and I was grateful for all gifts I had, and I was inspired to build on it and share it with others. I imagine this is the essence of life, whatever it was; and with a grand overseer, it will at least be assured for every life form forever onwards. I thought that’s the world we lived in– that if you ask, you will receive. But the God of justice is not there, and that’s forever been the problem.
