From the summer solstice to the winter solstice the days become shorter and colder, and from the prospective of the northern hemisphere the sun appears to move south and get smaller and more scarce. I think this is the most broad definition of emergency powers I’ve ever seen a president award to themselves, and it really is virtually dictatorial powers…the ability to take over and manage all levels of government including private sector organizations.
