First, I believe that it is absolutely essential to meditate daily. (zazen is a good method, they’re many) One must become grounded in self-hood. Then decisions become more natural; not so much approval seeking.
Freedom is not a place or direction. Knowing that you are a prisoner is a great step, not something to be lamented.
The ruling class can not deal with the self aware.
They are weak and few in number and know that their days are numbered so to speak. good luck

In fact being aware of the fact that I am imprisoned has made me very unhappy – I can’t help wishing that I was not aware of it. Ignorance can be bliss.

I have spent my whole life in the “West” but its all pervasive and those that live in the “East” are just as imprisoned just differently. Any advice anyone?
