Aspartame (E951) is consumed daily by millions of people. The sweetener is being used in over 6000 products. Aspartame was approved by the FDA back in 1981. The approval was the most contested in history because aspartame caused cancer in lab animals.

The ingestion of the widely used sweetener called aspartame, better known as Nutra Sweet or Equal, may just be responsible for what the authors say is a dramatic increase in the number of people who develop brain tumors. Consumer advocates and researchers have become more vocal about what they say may be aspartame’s adverse effects. They asking the Food and Drud Administration, the FDA, to take another hard look at aspartame.

Better known by its brand names Nutra Sweet or Equal, aspartame is the most popular sugar substitute in the world. Since the FDA approved it back in 1981, aspartame has become a multi billion dollar industry. What most consumers don’t know is that aspartame’s approval was one of the most contested in FDA history. Consumers have reported more than 7000 adverse reactions to the FDA ranging from dizziness to headaches to seizures. But the makers say it is the most tested food additive ever, and that it’s safe for the tens of millions who use it worldwide.

Aspartame was discovered in the mid-60s at GD Searle, the Chicago drug company. So it was bought by Monsanto and then was spun off to form the Nutra Sweet Kelco Company. The FDA originally approved aspartame back in 1974, but FDA investigators soon found serious problems in some of the studies that Searle had submitted to the FDA and so a task force was able to investigate many of Searle’s tests.

Dr. Erik Millstone is a food safety expert at the University of Sussex in England. He’s been a critic of Britain’s approval of the sweetener for over a decade. He says that Searle’s tests are so flawed there’s simply no way to be sure that aspartame is safe.

Some scientists allege that the industry tries to influence research. Dr. Ralph Walton, a professor of psychiatry at Northeastern Ohio University’s College of Medicine, recently did a survey of aspartame studies. He found, that the results of industry sponsored research turned out very differently from the non industry sponsored studies.
I looked at the medical literature, addressing the safety of aspartame. I found 164 studies. 74 were funded by the Nutra Sweet industry. Every single one of them attested to the safety of aspartame. Of the 90 independently funded studies, 83 identified a problem.

Shipping rates hit zero as trade sinks

It means goods are not being shipped, think empty store shelves, because that’s what is next.

The Mortgage problems are not over yet. If “Revelation” of the Subprime mess shook the Dow from 13,028 in June to a bottom of 7,552 on Nov. 20, 2008, what kind of effect can we expect from the ARM, ALT A, Agency loans that will start resetting in 2009?

Citi exposed to $60 billion in subprime loans – may need more cash.

And that’s just Citibank. When are Fannie & Freddie, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and others going to announce?

What about the Investment Banks that are still stuck with these loans? What about the US Government who took out interests in Fannie, Freddie and others in the bailout, or as I like to call it, the “sellout” (as in, “of America”)

And NONE of this includes commercial properties/loans. Not one word from anyone, except one person and I can’t find his information.

How much exposure do the American People have in the Commercial market? No one knows.

Unemployment at 16-year high

In December, the number of unemployed persons increased by 632,000 to 11.1 million and the unemployment rate rose to 7.2 percent. Since the start of the recession in December 2007, the number of unemployed persons has grown by 3.6 million, and the unemployment rate has risen by 2.3 percentage points. Bureau of labor statistics.

Add to that, the Federal Reserve’s audacity to deny disclosure of nearly $2 Trillion dollars. As determined by the court, and I’m paraphrasing, that (bold) We the People are not party to what the Federal Reserve (a private corporation) does with its money.

Halliburton and KBR

Halliburton announced that it would relocated it’s Texas based World Headquarters from Texas to Dubai. It will still maintain a corporate US office in Texas, but the CEO is moving UAE. (ABC news 03/11/2007)

Halliburton is no longer an American company, but they will probably get the contract, along with KBR.

The Federal Reserve is Printing More Money, thereby increasing Our National Debt. If you add up all debts and liabilities, it adds to about $53 Trillion (look it up).

Bank of America just got a $25 Billion infusion, on top of the $15B from October. But they still plan on FIRING 35,000 employees.

BA stock went from $38 on Oct. 1, 2008 to $7 as of Jan. 16, 2009.

The molecule is made up of 3 components. 2 are amino acids, the so called building blocks… proteins. One is called phenylalanine, which is about 50% of the molecule, and the other is aspartic acid, which is like 40%. The other 10% is so called methyl ester which as soon as it’s swallowed becomes free methyl alcohol. Methanol. Wood alcohol, which is a poison, a real poison.

1965 Aspartame was was discovered by James M. Schlatter for G.D. Searle & Company while experimenting with amino acids.
1967 Dr. Harold Waisman conducts Aspartame safety tests on infant monkeys on behalf of the G.D. Searle & Company. As seven monkeys were being fed Aspartame mixed with milk, one dies, five others have grand mal seizures.
1980 FDA Board of Inquiry comprised of three independent scientists, confirmed that aspartame “might induce brain tumors”.
1981 G.D. Searle’s Company Chief Operating Officer, Donald Rumsfeld, reapplied an FDA certification for aspartame immediately after U.S. President Ronald Reagan took office.
1981 President Ronald Reagan apoints Arthur H. Hayes as FSA commissioner, who approves aspartame for use in dry goods. Ronald Reagan, Donald Rumsfeld, Arthur Hayes were working for the same people.

The FDA, G.D. Searle & Company, Monsanto, Nutrasweet Company, and Merisant are in control by the same people.

…the ones profiting the most in my opinion have to be the pharmaceutical companies. Based on the amount of money they pay to those whom they seek to influence, it’s clear that it’s very important to them to keep the system the way it is. A few examples are the millions of dollars donated to medical schools annually, vacations and financial incentives enjoyed by doctors, and the excessive amount of drug advertising we see in medical journals and on US television.

The pharmaceutical industry also has the largest lobby in the US Congress, something that wouldn’t exist if they truly had something we needed.

Immunity is not provided through vaccines.

You won’t find a big study in some respected journal telling you that nutrition cures cancer… they are only interested in selling you a product by ‘managing’ your disease, not curing it…

Our bodies must have nutrition. No one ever became ill from a lack of pharmaceutical drugs, but look at what happens when you don’t eat.

MSG, you may think it’s only an ingredient in Asian food, but you’re wrong; it’s everywhere. From restaurants to your grocery to your kids’ cafeterias, even your baby’s formula. Monosodium glutamate s a flavor enhancer that’s been big in the U.S. since the 50s. It’s supposed to make your food taste better, but research shows MSG is making us fat. Dr. Russell Blaylock has studied these common flavor enhancers that many experts believe are hazardous to your health. He calls them Exitotoxins: The Taste that Kills. An exitotoxin is a big word for any substance like MSG that over excites cells to the point of damage, acting as a toxin. Hence the term exitotoxin, a form of poison.

Headache specialist Dr. David Buchholz is certain MSG causes migraines for literally millions of people. MSG can directly worsen autism, attention deficit disorder, and hyperactivity. MSG can cause the brain to be miswired especially in the womb and the first few years of life. That damage to brain connections can mess up any aspect of brain function from the control of hormones, to behavior, and intelligence.

That’s what happens with infant mice. After being fed MSG, they show no signs of mental damage until they’re older and begin to fail at complex tasks. Bluntly put, they become stupid. And humans are five times more sensitive to MSG than mice. Infants even more so. Blaylock believes that the entire education system suffers as a result. Even the ability of students to get along with each other. But what about MSGs impact on brain afflictions in older adults. Blaylock says MSG may only be a contributing factor in starting brain diseases, but it definitely can make neurological afflictions worse. Alzheimer’s Disease, ALS also called Lou Gehrig’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, strokes, Parkinson’s disease – they all involve exitotoxins doing harm.

It’s in all sorts of commercially processed food products that wouldn’t taste like much if the didn’t have this flavor enhancer added to them. And it’s not always labeled as MSG or monosodium glutamate it’s labeled as hydrolyzed protein or naturals flavors and you’d never suspect it.

Blaylock says even moderate levels of MSG can cause harm partly because specific organs have actual biological triggers called glutamate receptors. A group of these receptors in the heart controls heart rhythm. “It can induce a fatal arrhythmia, that is the heart beats abnormally and people can die from it. Well Arrhythmia is the number one cause with heart attack. It’s been noted in medical literature for decades that people who die of sudden cardiac death frequently do so after a meal. -Blaylock”

Now let’s go a little bit into the history of excitotoxicity and how this all came about. In Japan they used a flavoring substance for their food called kombu or sea tangle. And this is a seaweed when you dry it you can grind it up. put it in your food and it greatly enhances the taste of the food and that’s been used for a thousand years. No one really knew why it enhanced the taste of food, until 1908 when a research chemist by the name of Ikeda, examined kombu and he discovered that the taste enhancing compound was glutamate. You may have heard of monosodium glutamate, or MSG, well that’s the active compound glutamate.
…because it enhances the taste by stimulating certain cells in the brain and the tongue.

So why the vast increase in brain cancer and brain disorders since 1984? I’ll refer to a published study by foremost neuroscientist Dr John W Olney . He suggests one likely candidate. The G.D. Searle Company and the quest to get approval for their product aspartame they conducted a study on animals in which they fed some animals like low dose, medium dose high dose of the product and they used controlled animals that supposedly didn’t get any of the product… When they submitted this to the FDA and the FDA looked at it, there was some question about the study. Well one of the scientist, a neuroscientist looked at some of this, he saw a lot of red flags ..said there’s some real questions here about tumors being caused by this product. Particularly brain tumors. So they ordered a study to be done by the bureau of foods which was the precursor to the FDA. …this is the report here. Basically what it shows is that either a lot of purposeful shenanigans was carrying on to get this product approved or as he states it..it was the world’s worst research.

…because I was such a high user of aspartame though primarily diet cokes and equal and …those are the primary ways, combined with the mountain of evidence and other testimonials of people who have had terrible symptoms of every type of malady that you could image. And when they’re removed from the aspartame the symptoms go away. that’s what you call strong if not direct evidence, very strong circumstantial evidence.

Suddenly, U.S. Attorney Samuel Skinner began preliminary employment discussions with G.D. Saerle’s law firm Sidley and Austin. The U.S. Justice Department urged attorney Samuel Skinner to proceed with the grand jury pointing out that the statute of limitations on prosecution would soon run out. Samuel Skinner withdrew from the G.D. Searle case, and assistant U.S. Attorney, William Conlon, was assigned to the grand jury investigation. Shortly afterwards Samuel Skinner left his job to work for G.D. Searle’s law firm. The assistant he left behind let the statute of limitations for run out on the aspartame charges. This assistant William Conlon was hired 15 months later by G.D. Searle’s law firm Sidley and Austin.”

In 1977, the FDA Chief Council Richard Merrill recommended to US Attorney Samuel Skinner, that a grand jury be setup to investigate G.D. Searle.

Donald Rumsfeld went into the company (G.D. Searle) after he left Washington… after Ford lost and that would be in 1977…was in business and he was the congressman from there. Then he went to the White House where he was White House Chief of Staff and then he became Secretary of Defense, so he took over the company and went in with a full team of politicians.

Under charges of improprieties Arthur Hull Hayes left the FDA, and was hired as a consultant for $1000 a day by a G.D. Searle’s public relations firm.

I said, you know, with all the technology that we have today, with all the advances in medicine and science, people are getting sicker. Has anyone noticed that? People are buying more pharmaceutical drugs to cure the very thing that these chemical companies started to begin with.
