Senator: Does this pistol fire the dart? CIA Dir: Yes, it does, Mr. Chairman, and a special one was developed which potentially would be able to enter the target without perception.
The British Government’s story of what happened, how, and why is contained in three reports comprising just over 200 pages. There is virtually no forensic physical evidence in the public domain. The first two reports were published simultaneously in 2006, ten months after 7/7. One was a home office narrative of events, written by an unknown civil servant. It is full of cryptic and ambiguous statements, and offers almost no evidence in support of its claims. The second 2006 report was written by the Intelligence and Security Committee, who were hand picked by the Prime Minister to oversee the British intelligence agencies. The report devoted only five pages to the question of what MI5 knew about the four alleged bombers before 7/7. However evidence presented at the trial of seven men accused of planting a fertilizer bomb attack, showed MI5 knew far more than the ISC had reported. A second report was published in 2009 which examined the evidence and explicitly sought to put down conspiracy theories about 7/7.
Secret Government: Constitution in Crisis – CIA Coups in the Last Half Century – Bill Moyers – 1987 Oldy but Goody
The men who wrote our Constitution tried to make it hard to go to war. Human life was at stake, they knew, and the character of our Republic. War should be soberly decided, publicly debated, and mutually determined by the people’s representatives. It is people, after all, who must fight, pay, and die once the choice is made. The Constitution was to protect them from dying for the wrong reasons. It was to protect them from killing for the wrong reasons.
